How to Measure for Skylight Blinds

At Unbeatable Blinds, our Skylight blinds are suitable for Velux, Dakstra, Rooflite, Keylite and Fakro windows, each of which feature a code that relates to a specific size.

Our guide below details how to ensure you choose the correct size of blind using the code on your window, it’s super simple!

Most manufacturers supply a handy metal plate on your skylight window that lists all the model information. This can usually be found on the top edge of your skylight window. Simply open your window so it is at eye level and your code should be located on the topside edge.

If you have a Velux blind, you will have a style code as well as a window code, you will need to enter both of these when purchasing your roof blind. For Dakstra, Rooflite, Keylite and Fakro blinds you will only require the window code.

Some manufacturers can make it slightly more difficult to find your code. If you cannot locate the window plate or code, don’t worry! Simply measure the width and drop of window and use our table below to find your window code.
